Religious Education

August 5, 2019

Dear Parents:

It is my privilege to once again welcome you to our Religious Education Program!

The Christian formation of children is a process that begins at birth and continues into adulthood. We urge you to continue providing your children with a solid religious education that will encourage a living, conscious and active faith.

Every Catholic child should be attending religion classes, regardless of whether they have received the sacraments or not. Religious education is for everyone, not only to prepare for First Communion or Confirmation. Religious education prepares our children to become Christian adults.

The beginning of a new school year is almost here and with it, a new year of education and formation in the faith of our children. This year we will have registration meetings for new families on:

Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall and
Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

We hope to see all you there. We ask that you download the registration form from the church website, print it and bring it with you to the meeting. Please bring the completed registration form along with a copy of your child’s baptismal and birth certificate.

Religious education sessions begin on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th, 2019. Grades 1-5 meet every Wednesday, from 3:30 pm. to 5:00 p.m.
Grades 6 and up meet every Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Registrations will not be accepted on opening day of class.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office (305/665-0037) between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for assistance.

May the Lord bless our faith journey. Looking forward to a great year!

Sincerely in Christ,

Susana Yllanes
Religious Education Coordinator
